Gratitude Meditation

Welcome
to a gratitude meditation
for you to reflect on
being thankful to God
for who He is
and what He provides

As Psalm 92 says:
“It is good
to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises
to the Most High.”

Find a place
to sit and be still

Take a deep breath in
Let it out slowly
Inhale God’s grace
Exhale God’s forgiveness

Be present in His Presence
He is always with you

Settle into this moment
Choose to sit in gratitude
Find the center of your being
Allow God to
touch you with His Presence

Calm your thoughts
Calm your heart
Calm your breathing
Focus on being present
in the moment
Focus on being grateful
in this moment

Take this moment
to reflect on
how you are feeling

Breathe in gratitude
Exhale doubt

Picture God with you
Thank Him for being
El Shaddai – the God of heaven
Thank Him for showing you
His love

Breathe in thankfulness
Breathe out goodness

As Psalm 136 tells us:
“Give thanks to the Lord
for He is good,
His faithful love endures forever.”

Breathe in wonder
Breathe out wisdom

“Give thanks to Him
who alone does mighty miracles.”
“Give thanks to Him who
made the heavens so skillfully.”

Breathe in the day
Breathe out the night

“To Him who made
the heavenly lights —
the sun to rule the day
and the moon and stars
to rule the night.”

Take a deep breath in
Let it out slowly
Inhale God’s grace
Exhale God’s forgiveness

Be present in His Presence
He is always with you
Breathe in His lovingkindness
Breathe out His faithfulness

Feel His love
Thank Him for His love
Feel His mercy
Thank Him for His mercy

As Psalm 59 says:
“I will sing about Your power…
I will sing with joy
about Your unfailing love…
For You have been my refuge.”

Breathe in His strength
Breathe out His deliverance

Reflect on Psalm 18:
“I love You, Lord;
You are my strength.”
The Lord is
my Rock
my Savior
my Shield
my Strength
my Protection

Breathe in thankfulness
Breathe out salvation

From Psalm 18 say:
“I called on the Lord,
who is worthy of praise.”
Thank You, God,
for being with me.

Take this moment
to reflect on
how you are feeling

Breathe in gratitude
Breathe out doubt

Picture Jesus beside you
Thank Him for being
your Savior
Thank Him for showing
you His love

Breathe in praise to God
Breathe out a song to God

Repeat Psalm 138:
“I will give You thanks, O Lord,
with all my heart
I will sing Your praises.”

Breathe in worship of God
Breathe out the truth of God

“I will praise Your Name
for Your unfailing love
and faithfulness…
You encourage me
by giving me strength.”

Breathe in God’s strength
Breathe out His answers

Thank Him
for answering
your prayer requests
For giving you strength
within your soul
For giving you His Word
so that you can praise Him
and love Him

Take a deep breath in
Let it out slowly
Inhale God’s grace
Exhale God’s forgiveness

Be present in His Presence
He is always with you
Your strength and song
Your protection and refuge

Breathe in peace
Breathe out guilt and shame

Hear these soothing words of peace
from Romans 8
God is for you
There is no condemnation
He is with you
Take this moment
to be grateful
for His Presence

Breathe in trust in God
Breathe out fear

As in the words of Isaiah:
“God has come to save me
I will trust in Him
and not be afraid.
The Lord God is
my strength and song.”
Find joy in these words

Let God’s light shine
on your soul
Feel His power

Breathe in His Holiness
Breathe out His grace

Thank Him for loving you
Thank Him for saving you

Take this moment
to reflect on
the awesomeness of God

Breathe in gratitude
Breathe out His love

Be one with God’s Spirit
Be one with His energy
Be present with gratitude
Be present in love

May you feel peaceful
May you feel love
May you feel safe
May you feel strong
May you feel protected
May you feel grateful

Take one final breath
and as you release it
focus on God’s awesome power

Breathe in love
Breathe out gratitude
